Survived By: Bill was proud of his three daughters, Melissa, an interior designer for the Department of Veteran Affairs; Melanie, who followed in his footsteps as a developer; and Jennifer, a journalist and writer. He was also proud of his grandsons, Rhett Carlson Buckley, a second-year law student at Washburn; Jackson Abercrombie Harter, a freshman at DePauw University; and Harrison Joseph Harter, a sophomore at New Summit Academy in Costa Rica. Bill also leaves his former wife, Judy Naylor, Phoenix, and Judy's daughter, Robin, and her family, also of Phoenix. Among those who Bill got a kick out of were Kathy Emmerson Dickerson and her family, and his always-entertaining nieces, Paula Kolterman Haberkern, San Diego; and Debbie Kolterman Swope, Kansas City.

For anyone wishing to make a memorial donation in Bill's name, he was a supporter of Wayside Waifs, where he adopted his last cat, Snuggems, or any organization in support of veterans. A commemoration will be held on Sunday, Oct. 24, at Lidia's Restaurant in the Crossroads. There will be private family remembrance from 2 o'clock until 4 o'clock and visitation for family, friends, and cronies from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.   www.meyersfuneralchapel.com
